On July 29th, keshi brought his REQUIEM WORLD TOUR to Scotiabank Arena in Toronto for a headlining show that was heartfelt and beautifully crafted.

The night opened with starfall, whose sound weaves R&B and pop with hints of alternative and lo-fi. Performing alongside guitarist Noah Koslen, he delivered a captivating set that included his signature track “intentions” and pulled the crowd in from the get-go.

Mac Ayres followed with his guitar and soulful vocals. He played songs including fan-favourite “Easy,” drawing the audience in with warmth. Together, starfall and Mac Ayres set the tone for the night.

Soon after, keshi took the stage.

He opened with “Amen,” stepping into a stream of light like a figure emerging from a dream. His set moved through beloved tracks like “Soft Spot” and “LIMBO.” I had heard snippets of his latest single “WANTCHU” before, but hearing it live made it an instant favourite.

Then came “drunk.”

As soon as keshi sang the first line, the crowd lit up. Everyone knew it was coming. Thousands of voices joined in, singing every word back to him. We were loud. It was one of those moments that stay with you long after the show. It felt special. And we saw how much that moment meant to keshi too.

The production brought each song to life. The lighting cast soft silhouettes that echoed the emotion behind them. The visuals moved like memories, hazy and nostalgic. The sound was rich and immersive, filling every corner of the arena.

keshi performed with a stellar band that consisted of Nate Villegas on keys, Vin Landolfi on guitar, Marlon B. Lewis on drums, and Christian Crawford on bass. Together, they shifted seamlessly between acoustic sections and full-band arrangements.

Having followed keshi’s music since lockdown, seeing him live in front of thousands felt surreal. Even in a massive arena, he made the space feel intimate.

More than a concert, keshi’s show in Toronto became a moment of connection. A reminder of how music can turn vulnerability into something communal. He invited us to feel, reflect, and fully be present. And Toronto showed up.
