Music has a way of cycling through trends, and right now, nostalgia for 2000s pop is experiencing a resurgence like never before. Although having released 13 albums in his career it was only his second time visiting Charm City and my first time seeing him live.  Upon entering the venue the feeling of the 'Houseparty' presence was already there, with audience members dancing to the pre-show soundtrack.

Young Cash

Before long the first performer at this party came on stage, Young Cash. I'd never heard of Young Cash prior to this show, but instantly the crowd was alight. Cash and his crew began tossing necklaces into the crowd making for a nice souvenir of the show.

Nando STL

Next up was Nando STL and his charismatic presence

instantly drew the crowd. He brought out a strong stage presence and got the crowd amped up for the show to come.

LARUSSEL

LaRussel, the last of the openers, was my personal favorite. On stage with a DJ, Violinist, and  Camerawoman instantly the vibe  was shifted.

Before I knew it  LaRussel had hopped off the stage and began walking the venue  singing. Now, as a concert photographer, I've seen artists in a crowd, normally they're surrounded by security. But, this experience  was much more intimate as there was no security in sight, I ended up walking right next to him.His next act was to bring an audience member on stage to sing, because why not? He ended thanking for the support and stating. "We just  do what we do, we don't come up here with a  setlist, we're just having fun!"

T-PAIN

T-Pain brought his energetic and innovative "Mansion in Wiscansin Tour" to Baltimore's Pier Six Pavilion on June 25, 2024, and it was a night to remember. The Grammy Award- winning artist, known for his pioneering use of Auto-Tune, did not disappoint the crowd with his blend of old hits and new material. The production value of the show was top- notch, with an impressive light display and interactive stage elements that complemented T-Pain's high-energy performance. The sound quality at Pier Six Pavilion was excellent, making every audience member feel every beat.

T-Pain's set was a masterclass in showmanship (he was dressed as a ringleader after all). He performed a range of hits including "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')", "Bartender", and the fan-favorite "Can't Believe It", showcasing not only his iconic Auto-Tune vocals but also his impressive natural singing ability, a skill he famously highlighted on "The Masked Singer". His recent viral covers album "On Top of the Covers" was also well-received, adding a fresh twist to the performance.

One of the standout moments of the night was T-Pain's interaction with the audience. His charisma and humor shone through as he shared stories and jokes between songs, creating a personal and memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

Overall, T-Pain's "Mansion in Wiscansin Tour" stop in Baltimore was a spectacular success. It was a night full of nostalgia, innovation, and pure entertainment, solidifying T-Pain's status as a versatile and enduring figure in the music industry.
